Happiness is...
A cozy fire in the fireplace and two dogs sleeping on the couch with me.
Plus, my kitchen ceiling no longer leaks...

Ah, leakless! That is great. The couch sure sounds crowded. :g:

Yes, the leaklessness is teh good!
It's a good sized couch, although it would be somewhat less crowded if John Henry didn't generally take up half of it.

Mmmm, that sounds wonderful. One of the day-to-day things I've missed most since losing my dog is that quiet hang-out time cuddling on couches. Add a fire, and it's just about heaven.

Yes.
Sorry to hear about your dog, Steph. That's always so tough.
One reason I have two dogs is not that it makes losing one of them less painful, but that it makes it less empty.

Thanks Deb. I know what you mean about two dogs...Patrick and I have been talking about that for the future. I would love to have another dog but hate the emotional implications of 'replacement'...having two dogs at a time makes a lot of sense in that context.
