I'd Like to Thank the Academy....
An Asimov's letter to the editor says that I'm totally ruining Science Fiction (well, really Sheila is ruining it by buying my stories).
Yay me!

If you're ruining science fiction, it needs to be ruined! ("Ruin" looks funny if you type it too often.)
Go, Deb!
You might want to ruin fantasy and horror while you're at it.

Lisa, Deb's got SF covered, and we can't let her have all the fun. How about you ruin horror and I'll take fantasy. Does that work for you?

I am so jealous, I don't have words. I am going to drink a toast to you, though. Next time I have a drink.

Wow, that's impressive. Talk about some seriously powerful stories!!!!
(And btw, I've loved all of them so far! So you are clearly ruining it exactly to my tastes, and I can only approve.)

Thanks, all!
I'm going to try in the next year to ruin science fiction even more.

Deb, I just saw "The Whale's Lover" in Asimov's. It looked really good there. I saw it in the workshop and can't remember how or if you did much revision, but I thought it read really well.
As for ruining sf, well, we have to blame somebody...
Best,
Tom
